Hello Folks, hope one of you can shed a little light on a question I have. I currently have a 5th gen. SR5 ( 2010 ). Just hit 96K miles and haven't had a bit of trouble out of it. But the other day I was driving home and noticed the DTE display said I had about 150 miles of fuel left.
My wife was going to take the 4 runner out of town the next day so I stopped at a gas station to top off the fuel tank for her. Normally after I fill up, when I put the vehicle in drive, the DTE will recalculate and in most cases show I have a range of approx. 380 miles. However this time the DTE did not change.
Even after filling up the DTE still said I had about 150 miles range left.
Any reason why this happened? It happened once before about 6 months ago and my wife said the DTE just " recalculated her remaining distance after she had been driving it for awhile. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.
