18 T4R Limited Vibration
Want to see if anyone else has had this issue. I have been trying to find the answer to this for months. I have a Limited with approx 76k miles on it, which I bought in Sept of 2021. Shortly after purchase, I noticed a subtle vibration in the floorboard, gas pedal, and center of the steering wheel only when accelerating. When I coast at any speed, it goes away completely. The harder I accelerate, the more pronounced the vibration becomes, but it is not audible. The best way to describe it is like a phone vibrating in your pocket. Some days, the vibration is more noticeable than others. I’ve had the transmission drained and filled twice in the last year. I have had the fluids in the diffs and transfer case changed. I have had the driveshaft lubricated. Engine and cabin air filters are clean. I just had the spark plugs changed, and had the fuel injection system cleaned. I’ve had the tires balanced 4-5 times and two alignments done since July. Vibrations usually start around 2k rpm. When I rev the engine in neutral or park, I notice the vibrations, but not until closer to 3k rpm. Three different shops in the last year say that they can’t find anything wrong. A buddy of mine says that it just might be the extra components of the AWD system that I’m feeling, but I feel if that was the case, there would be dozens of threads on this. Again, the vibration is subtle and I’m sure a lot of people would just live with it, but I’m convinced there is something off that is causing this. Any help would be appreciated.
