Bought new wheels, need longer studs? rear studs on front?

Hey guys so i bought a set of Work S1HC from showstopper offroad. i was reading a lot of info about doing extended front wheel studs as there isnt a lot of bite on the lugs due to the stock short wheel studs. i tried looking into getting gorilla ET "extended thread" lug nuts but i dont think they are going to fit into my wheels. My question is how many of you are running the rear 4R studs on the front as i hear they are about 1/4in longer. Any input would be much appreciated. thanks guys

I have been running longer front studs from a Toyota Matrix for 60,000+ miles with no issues. I got the idea from this forum on past modifications.

I can’t guarantee that using the longer studs would work with the OEM lug nuts. You’d be fine using the rear studs up front though. The matrix studs are a lot longer than the OEM front studs that come on the 4Runner. Like you, I’m running aftermarket wheels without the ability to use an ET lug nut.

I bought ARP studs for a Lexus from Summit Racing then cut them down to the exact length I needed. They are much stronger than OEM.

ARP Wheel Studs 100-7715
