Exclamation TPMS Warning Light?

It's been a little cold, but not freezing and I get a warning light for the spare tire pressure is low. In the pic it's 52F, barely below sweater weather.

The spare is at 34 PSI and the others tires (the ones I drive on) are @32 PSI.

I understand you probably want a bit more air in the spare, but it's not actually low.

Is this an error or just some SW guy likes warnings?

The light stayed on even when it was 60F outside and magically turned off last night.

Any takers, in sights, should I be concerned, has anyone seen this?

My guess would be there is a problem with the sensor. We have a work truck that has had a sensor go bad multiple times. The dealer or a trusted tire shop should be able to figure it out.

Hi itr1275,

I would just check ALL 5 tires for proper psi B-4 spending any $$$,00, ...And, I would disconnect the battery (minimum of 4 HRs); to Re-Set the Main Body ECU-Compu Net! That should do it! If it doesn't, then I might swap the TPMS valve stems... bc that could be the trouble... but the battery disconnect is easier; Please let us know how you make out!

Best to you, ~rig~ Cheers!

Your spare dropped below the low pressure threshold is all. Most likely due to an overfilled condition that set the threshold too high. Pump that sucker up to max allowable PSI.

You might try resetting the TPMS system for the current pressures and see if you get another warning, It may be that the system was set when the spare was at a higher level and it eventually bled down to the trigger level.
For a while I was experimenting with different tires and pressures so I reset the system several times. It's easy and the procedures are in the manual.
