totalled!!!

As the title says, my insurance has deemed my Runner totaled after being rear-ended making me lose control of the truck. I had a clean-title 2011 4runner Trail edition with 121,600 miles on it. It was equipped with Prinsu roof rack, JBA UCA, Kings Shocks with adjusters, RCI underbelly aluminum armor except for the gas tank, RCI rock sliders, Method 302 wheels, and an upgraded audio system. The insurance company is offering $23,680 as a settlement. I believe this is way too low for my truck's market value. Their offer is based on the 2 2011 SR5 AWD that they sent/ emailed me with the breakdown information. After reviewing the information they sent me, both trucks that they compared my truck to are not equipped with KDSS, crawl control/ Atrac system, and E- locker.

I did a little bit of research and found 2 "almost" similar trucks I had. The first truck is a 2010 Trail edition 4runner with 150K miles. According to the website it was sold with a price tag of $28,995. It was equipped with OME 2" lift, GOBI rack with ladder, and Method wheels. Another truck that I found is a stock 2011 Trail 4runner with 122,807 miles on it, 3 previous owners, and a minor accident according to its car history. It is for sale with a price tag of $23,995.
As a result of my research, I will be negotiating and countering their offer with a price between 27K- 29K. What does the consensus say about this? Every bit of advice will be much appreciated. Thank you to all!!

Why are you not going against the others insurance company?

NEVER Accept their first offer!

You will need to watch them every step of the way my friend.
Definitely counter and point out what you have found.
You may need to remove what you can from the 4Runner because ins co is not going to pay you for your items more than likely.

Also, are you or have you been hurt in the accident?
Even what may appear to you as a minor injury may not be and you may be compensated for said injury, plus pain and suffering and being without a vehicle because of others negligence!

Just saying...........

Actually some drunk B put her car in reverse at a red light and hit my truck. Her insurance policy paid me for my winch, sso bumper, fair lead and a few other items that would honesrly see more trail damage. So if you're at fault, insurance will pay for just what you have insured... a stock vehicle unless you have insurance covering your mods. But if someone hits you, they need to make you whole... including your mods.

I stand corrected. You are correct, if the other party's insurance claims their insured is at fault, they will pay.

If it is your insurance company, one needs a rider to cover mods. I have 3000 rider on mine for said mods.

Yes, I have been researching on accident lawyers too. And no, I am not accepting their offer. I just want to further research on the actual worth of my truck.

I did took off what is salvagable from the accident (solar panel, dual battery set up with REDARC, light bars, chase lights, ditch and fog lights, switch panels and subwoofer).

Easy question, what % fault were you found to be at?

If less than 50% then everything is on the at fault party.

In a 3-car scenario, someone pushed you into another person, the person at fault owes both parties - this is where you can lose the most, bc if they have low limits it is split 2 ways.

As asked before, any injuries?

Not on my part. Other party seems okay. At least during the time of the accident.
