2022 sr5p

So, I am looking to see who has successfully - yet subtly - added aux lights to the front of their SR5P. I don't want to change out the headlights and possibly even leave the fogs. I spend a lot of time in NH and I travel some dark areas up there so looking to add to my light game. Has anyone added LED light bars above or below the chrome strips on either side of the Toyota logo? Or has anyone done a combo fog light set up. Just looking for ideas without having to go to ditch lights or something similarly obvious. TIA!

I have baja fogs the not street legal amber version. they are great, but I don't use them when around other drivers. they were a big upgrade to the OEM fogs. I know you don't want ditch lights but with a low profile bracket you can get some baja s2 pros or the similar style from diode and it will look pretty clean. with my s2 pro ditches and baja sport fogs I have plenty of light with OEM headlights and bulbs. a few people have done pods behind the mesh in the grille. that looks nice too

I have a 2021 SR5 Premium with some lighting upgrades for very similar reasons to you. I also wanted them to be subtle, but powerful. Here's what I did, and you can decide if any of it works for you.

First, I upgraded the factory LED fogs with Diode Dynamics SS3 Max selective yellow fogs. These were simply moved over from my 2014 Tacoma where I'd started with the Pro model, then moved up to the Max. They're awesome, but you don't need to go for the Max to get a decent lighting upgrade. The Sport and new Elite series are a great bang for the buck.

Next, I upgraded my reverse lights with a set of Baja Designs S2 Sports in a driving / combo pattern. These provided way more light than any bulb swap in my factory reverse lights.

Finally, I wanted some real distance lighting, so I added a set of Diode Dynamics SS5 spot pattern lights behind the grill on Rago Fabrications brackets and cross bars. I started with the driving patten lenses, but swapped to the spot pattern for more raw distance.

Here's what the brackets look like:

Is this the only way to go? Absolutely not, but it's what worked for me.

Hope that helps!

Yes they do. I just need a bit more - at times - than they provide.
