Has anyone added LED light bars above or below the chrome strips on either side of the Toyota logo? Or has anyone done a combo fog light set up. Just looking for ideas without having to go to ditch lights or something similarly obvious. TIA!

I have a 2021 SR5 Premium with some lighting upgrades for very similar reasons to you. I also wanted them to be subtle, but powerful. Here's what I did, and you can decide if any of it works for you.
First, I upgraded the factory LED fogs with Diode Dynamics SS3 Max selective yellow fogs. These were simply moved over from my 2014 Tacoma where I'd started with the Pro model, then moved up to the Max. They're awesome, but you don't need to go for the Max to get a decent lighting upgrade. The Sport and new Elite series are a great bang for the buck.
Next, I upgraded my reverse lights with a set of Baja Designs S2 Sports in a driving / combo pattern. These provided way more light than any bulb swap in my factory reverse lights.
Finally, I wanted some real distance lighting, so I added a set of Diode Dynamics SS5 spot pattern lights behind the grill on Rago Fabrications brackets and cross bars. I started with the driving patten lenses, but swapped to the spot pattern for more raw distance.
Here's what the brackets look like:
Is this the only way to go? Absolutely not, but it's what worked for me.
Hope that helps!
