23 limited dashboard squeak help

Happy New year T4R

My wife just took delivery of her 2023 Limited and there is a rattle squeak noise coming from the drivers side dash/windshield area. don't know if this is a common problem-I left Toyota back in 2006. so really havent been in tune.

thanks

Check the splash guard pins in the driver side front wheel well. You'd be surprised how much noise those flimsy things can produce.

If the noise comes comes from the corner, take a look at this thread. I had a creaking noise and there's a trim piece that needed to be pressed in place.
A squeaking/crackling noise resolved

Thanks for the leads

Wife loves the truck is annoyed as hell about the noise.

A stupid driver bounced off the rail on the freeway and flew backwards across all lanes and totaled my sons 14 Rav 4 Limited-so now he is taking my 05 4R sport V8. My wife typically drives that in the winter and she chose the 23 limited as her daily/winter driver now.
I didn’t realize how big the G5 is until I parked it beside my 10 sequoia limited.

Again thanks for the help. I will bug in the Gen 4 section soon-kid wants a cold air intake for his truck

Take it back and let Toyota fix it. It's brand new - and ask for a free loaner.

Oh I will, I just always like to have a backup plan. And I am curious to see what their “fix” will be. I have learned that some times the people on forums know more than even a master tech.

You might also want to record the noise for them to see and listen to. This will help prevent the "we can't duplicate the problem" spiel from the dealer.

You don't know how spot on this remark is hahaha. Both things that I could think of have been mentioned already. 1. the splash guard clips in the wheel wells. 2. the plastic trim pieces between the hood and windshield. I have had both issues. They come and go.
