Confession - I just realized the "quick detail spray" I use is indeed a "ceramic based" product.... (Chemical Guys). I use it after washes as needed.... and we all know that the hatch always needs the most love.

WHAT A TWIST lol

Mine gets washed with fresh rainwater, when it rains.
That is offset by it getting covered in mud because I live down miles of dirt roads, many upgraded.
Which is why I bought a 4runner.

its supposed to make cleanings easier. if you happen to top it with a spray on wax while drying, then yep the wax definitly attracts dust. BUT its pretty sweet how easy it is to clean up.

Two words: Bernoulli's principle. The flat drop off at the back of the vehicle creates a low pressure zone. When a high pressure zone and low pressure zone meet, the high pressure flows into the low pressure zone (along with all of the dust you've kicked up).

Chemical Guy's ceramic detail spray was awful for me. I'm not sure what "coating" they put on your truck, but my Gyeon Mohs coating was rejecting whatever crap was in the spray and it made the car all streaky. I switched to Gyeon Ceramic Detail Spray and it looks like the day I corrected and coated the truck. A good ceramic coating is hydrophobic and antistatic so it will get dirty less and also be easier to clean.
