Baja designs fog light flicker and out

Hello,

I’ve had no issues with my Baja designs fogs since install in 2018.

On a ski trip I noticed one had flicked on when pulling into the neighborhood. The moment I pulled up to the driveway, it began flickering and went out.

Does this sound more like a wiring issue? Any idea what could’ve caused this? I had bilstein shocks put on this week but can’t imagine that’s related. Otherwise no changes.

Baja Designs has a lifetime warranty and are very good about honoring it. Give them a call.

Before you call them though, I'd check for loose connections at the hot and ground wires.

Will do. I went out this morning and checked and the light was fine. Might have been cause I was running them for about 45min on the back road home but LEDs aren’t suppose to overheat are they?

You should be able to run them without issues for hours.
You could have an intermittent short in the light.

Did the other one flicker at all? If not check your wiring to that problem light. Jiggle, pull , twist the wire to see if you can duplicate the problem.

Only driver side flickered then went out. Left it overnight and now it’s working again. I’m not an electrician by any means but sounds like the connection and not the bulb itself

There is no "bulb" in the classic sense. There are individual emitters that cannot be replaced. If the wiggle test didn't show something up, you may have to leave the light on for a bit to heat things up a bit. If that doesn't turn anything up, it's probably time to call BD.

Hey,
I would make sure everything is making proper connection and that there is nothing loose. Do you notice any moisture in the light ? Moisture inside the light can cause it to flicker or to cause any problems. If the problem consists, please reach out to us at 760-560-2252 we are open Mon-FRI 8:30 to 5:30 PST. Please note you a LIFETIME Warranty if you have the proof of purchase or registered your product.
Best,
Brahian

I just noticed a modest amount of moisture inside the light…. What are my options? Not exactly thrilled to see this

have you checked the o ring yet? maybe one of those bolts got loose. especially since that bezel is added after the fact.

i've swapped lenses a few times on most of my BD stuff, maybe its something simple like a pinched o ring.
