I think his past experiences also illustrates the problem of just having a shop "build" your truck. He's had a lot of issues with axles leaking and ujoints snapping. To me the "Ultimate 4runner" is one that is reliable and can actually take you on some challenging terrain and get you home.

I may be misunderstanding you here, but are you suggesting this most recent build is a "shop build?" or are you suggesting that he's shared some past experiences in which the pitfalls of a shop-build were painfully felt? I think his second video does a great job of showing the work he put into it himself.
