1000%. You may not like the format, but this dude is legit and so is his build.

You do you, you won't please everyone.

Love the build man.

to everyone else:

While I also tend to stay away from youtube links. At least he's not shilling bullshit products like the majority of boobtubers out there, that like to use catch words like "AMAZING", or "BEST", or call themselves "engineers" because they know how to use a dremel and a sawzall. Overland dildo's anyone?

I kinda feel like his build is old school. I get what youre saying though. I think many folks would have appreciated this unfolding over a long, photo-heavy-laden thread covering every little detail and change. Same time, i sat and watched like the same 5 reviews of the suspension I’m looking to buy and read the same stuff for like 5 hours, hah.

I like a lot of the choices he's made on his build. Hope he actually takes it on real trails since most of the stuff I've seen is standard dirt road Overlandy stuff. A shame for a truck sitting on 37s and RCLT imho.

I think his past experiences also illustrates the problem of just having a shop "build" your truck. He's had a lot of issues with axles leaking and ujoints snapping. To me the "Ultimate 4runner" is one that is reliable and can actually take you on some challenging terrain and get you home.

yea i'd argue some of our mid travel builds are just as "ultimate"....all over the SW, baja, etc. while being built in the driveway over the course of a few years and doing daily driving duties at the same time thats not to say i would say no to long travel (camburg kit has been in the shopping cart for a few months lol)
