Angry Dealer botched service (3rd) - looking for good service work / West Chester, PA

Well, the dealership got me again.

I've been aware that I have been very much overpaying for routine maintenance over the past few years. Been using Sloane Toyota in Malvern, PA. Well, my last service I got home, and my engine oil filter was leaking oil like a sieve. Leaked all over my garage floor and I had to top off the oil prior to driving it back to the dealer.

This is the second time this has happened to me at this dealer.

I always used he the dealer bc I assumed (wrongly) they had their acts together and only used OEM parts.

Does anyone have a reputable and Toyota focused mechanic they recommend in the West Chester, PA area?

@Brianr436 you might ask the team at Mainline Overland for insight, I lived up there last 2 years and they're a pretty good crew. Cool shop too if you haven't been there.

I went to Glen Mills Toyota a few times while I was there, never had a problem with the basics

Good idea!

Mainline Overland looks like they do some sick work. The GX460 build was unreal.

Toyota dealerships were paying lube techs like $8.50 in 2009. And I doubt it’s much more now.

Yep and he’s already spent considerably more time going back and forth to the dealer than the 20+ minutes it takes me to change the oil and filter.

I have been shafted so many times by dealers I do everything myself that I can so I feel your pain. Good mechanics are hard to find. My wife and I found one in Jacksonville but it took a LONG time to find him. Luckily now that we moved to Pennsylvania we use the garage my dad used and he is good and has been around for decades.

I've been going to Sloane's since 2005. Never had a problem with oil changes or anything else that I had done.

I now have a 2020 4Runner and have it serviced there- no problems at all.
