Same. Just briefly looked for my wife’s 2017 and decided against it since it would require both the amp and the headunit. I’m fine with aftermarket for cheaper

Honestly, that’s our big dilemma currently. We could get a sub 100K mile 2014 or 2015 4runner approx $25K or 2017-18 for $40K. If all is same is it worth an additional $15k for 4 to 4 year younger car?

100K miles for a 4runner that has been taken care of is nothing. if youre in SF rust is probably not a concern, no salted roads and no winter so even the 2014s should be in decent shape. higher mileage that has been serviced at the regular intervals with good parts is no concern.

personally I'm not worried by older high mileage vehicles. my 4runner is a 2012 and has 160K miles. my wife's RX is a 2010 with 110K miles. both were purchased used from one owner dealer-only serviced owners. the sweet spot I still think is a 5-7 year old vehicle, the only thing sweeter is a vehicle that requires no monthly payments
