OP what did you decide on? I’m in the same boat. Anyone know where to get a discount on either?

I went with the DD Max. They are amazing!!

No idea about deals. Your best bet is to wait on a DD sale, maybe Father's Day? If you're open to used, I'd check out FB marketplace.
