I made a video showing off my onboard air setup and auxbeam switch controller.

Made a short vid explaining my hard mounted air compressor and auxbeam controller. I’m not an expert at making YouTube vids but I plan on making more videos in the future so let me know what you think!

Auxbeam 6 gang switch panel + viair 88p compressor in 5th gen 4Runner - YouTube

nice set up. one thing to consider is that the hose off the air compressor usually gets pretty hot, and so will the fittings. I use a stainless steel 6-12" braided line off my compressor to reduce the chances of melting the hose. the steel helps dissipate heat

you've attached that hose off the compressor to what looks like a hose coming off the engine. just make sure it doesn't get too hot and melt both of them

I think the vast majority of people don't have a melting hose situation unless they are running the compressor for a long time in very hot climates in a hot engine bay. nice set up though, I tried to make my viair work in the engine bay but couldn't get it to work. the manifold addition is nice too

That hose is what the compressor came with. The compressor has a nipple or barb i guess you can call it that the hose is clamped to. No way to install a metal leader as far as I know. There’s no fittings or anything coming off the compressor just the barb. It is something I wanted to address so maybe some sort of high temp tape wrapped around it would work? Or just a higher quality air hose. Not sure.

I zip tied it to the other hose to keep them from chaffing. I believe it’s a breather hose of sorts so I wasn’t too worried but I should double check to make sure it’s not something too important.

Thanks for the tips!
