Hunting for 2019 Wiring Diagram EM27F0U

Hi everyone.

I’m hoping someone can help. I have a PDF of a 4Runner wiring diagram. I can’t remember where I got it. It has no cover page or table of contents. A few pages have the cryptic moniker “EM1430U”, which is what Toyota uses to identify the document. A little investigating led me to discover that the diagram is from 2010. I suspected it was dated because some portions of the diagram don’t match with the wiring of my 2022.

During my research I came upon this page, where I learned about the possible existence of an updated wiring diagram that covers 2016-2019 4Runners: EM27F0U. I believe this is the most recent wiring diagram available in a downloadable PDF form.

The page, MHHAuto.com, says “free download”, but registration is required to join the forum. To register you must send an email to the webmaster. I did so. By return email I learned that to perform my free download I must register, and to register I must pay a $29 registration fee. The methodology seems a little dodgy to me, and I’ve never heard of MMH auto until now.

Does anyone have this document or know where I can download it? I’m not afraid to pay the $29, but why not avoid it if I can? ;-)

Has anyone heard of MMH Auto before? Are they legit? Or a scam?

If your Google-Fu is strong and you want to search for this yourself, note that the document name is EM27F0U with a zero, not an o. Also note that it’s EM27F0U, and not RM27F0U, which is the Repair Manual.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Spalding

You can get wiring diagrams for your specific vehicle from the Toyota Information System. You do have to pay a subscription fee to access the info. TIS

I have often been able to sweet talk my dealer into printing out sections for me.

For the newer Toyotas, the wiring diagrams are huge, probably more than a thousand pages for each vehicle. Thus, any PDF file would be huge. I have never heard or seen of a single PDF file.

I believe you can download sections of the wiring diagrams from TIS. That is what I suggest you do. For example, there will be separate sections labeled Headlights, tail lights, fog lights, DRL, brake lights, interior illumination, etc. And that is just for the lights. Each of those sections can easily be six pages or more.

Do a Google search: https://mhhauto.com/Thread-Toyota-US...am-Online-Link

That supposedly covers 2016 to 2019 so will not be accurate and have the latest updates over the years.

Thanks for your replies. In the first post I linked to MHH Auto. Please see my comments there.

I am aware of EM27F0U, and that it covers 2016 to 2019 (as I also mentioned in the first post). I know that a few years have passed since 2019, and that a 2019 version of the wiring diagram won’t be up to date, but it’s probably more accurate than the diagram I have from 2010. Hence the search for EM27F0U.

I agree the PDF copy isn't great, the website is great as you can see the wiring colors and connectors its links to for the EM.

Here is the PDF

Compared to the TIS

You can download a copy for yourself via GitHub - rootflags/tis-clone: Download a copy of the Toyota/Lexus/Scion electronic factory service manual

Which is what I do basically every year sharing the cost of TIS 3 day access to download with my friends.

Is there a difference between the factory repair manual and the factory service manual? I'm confused.

There are two manual for the 4Runner on TIS, RM27F0U and EM27F0U.

RM27F0U - RM is the repair manual as you linked
EM27F0U - EM is the electrical wiring diagram manual, gives you the connectors and wiring location and harnesses.

Yes . This is my understanding as well, and I read somewhere that the EM27F0U electrical diagram is the last one published in PDF form, and that the diagrams for all subsequent years are online only.

The 2010 wiring diagram (EM1430U) I have isn’t the simple black and white diagram you show. Here’s a screenshot.
