iPhone over bluetooth on '23 - very low volume

I recently purchased a 2023 SR5 with the base (not premium) head unit. It has Apple CarPlay. When my phone is connected via cable, the CarPlay is active and volumes are normal when speaking on the phone. If I connect only via bluetooth, I can barely hear the other person on the phone even when I turn the headunit volume to max. Has anybody else had this issue? Thanks.

Use the steering wheel volume controls instead of the head unit.

place your ear against the door speaker.....if you would like to drive at the same time, a hot glue gun and a few strategically placed mirrors should do the trick.

Well, like the song goes, "two out of three ain't bad."

I did find the problem. Two actions. 1) turn my phone volume up. 2) Go into the sound settings in the head unit and turn up the incoming volume. I found a YouTube that explained that. I guess the only thing left to do is return the super glue.....
