2016 rear/hatch window won’t work from switch

My window wouldn’t roll down this morning to get some air on the dog.
Went and checked to make sure door was closed, it was, tried operation with the key, worked like a charm. But the switch in the console does nothing with vehicle on, in accessory, or off before opening a door.
My guess is the switch is bad, looks like it’s an expensive switch, anything else I should check first?

Can I plug in one from a door and see if it works, are they the same?

I can't answer your question but what I would do is if you can get access to the switch, remove the connector and use an ohm meter to check the switch for continuity when the switch is activated. It might just need replacing.

Did you accidentally press the window lock switch on the drivers door?

When you’re an idiot, own it. Never used the window lock in 170k miles. Put it on two days ago with some other kids in the car and driving me crazy. That was it, thanks tpetsch, I’m usually smarter than that.

I was going to call this out --- it happened to me a few years ago. I was about ready to go to the dealer and I got a similar heads up from a buddy on this forum!
Better to ask - than go to the dealer and have them tell you to replace the tail gate and switch ---- hahaha
