I had an elderly man (should not have been driving) clip my front bumper. Small scratch and baseball sized indent on the corner, that was all. Repair was $2,200. Looking at the repair order the OEM bumper was cheap, around $300, obviously not primed/painted/clear coated. If you are skilled at that you can buy a new one and do it yourself cheap.
