2016 battery...
I'm needing to replace my OEM Panasonic in my 2016 SR5.
Locally, there isn't much available. I'm in Wyoming with cold winters so I'm pretty set on an AGM. I've got a voltage booster coming.
I see that Rock Auto sells DEKA AGM batteries and it seems they are pretty good from the research I've done. They come in right at $200.
They sell a 34R ((LxWxH) 10.75" x 6.88" x 8") and a 35/85 ((LxWxH) 9.56" x 6.75" x 7.75").
What do you all recommend?

I live in the Chicago land area. Our winters can be very brutal and cold. I replaced mine last year with an Optima Red Top battery. Never had an issue with them for the many years that I've been using them.

I grabbed a Super Start AGM at O'Reilly back in Rapid City, SD when my OEM went out in my 2020 while on a road trip this July (yes, Arizona killed my battery in less than 4 years). No complaints thus far. Price was $249.99 plus the core fee though, so a bit more expensive.

I'm on my 4th year of Duracell AGM trolling motor batteries from Batteries Plus. They're made by East Penn/DEKA. They show at least one Duracell Ultra Platinum 34R auto battery.
Around here you get 10% off if you purchase on line and pick it up at the store. Looks like 2 stores in Wyoming fwiw.
Just a moment...

This is a big step up from the 1986 Subaru GL wagon I used on the Outer Banks beaches for 14 years. That thing would go anywhere in the sand on 185/70-13 tires. Dual range 5 speed, factory skid plate, 3 position manually adjustable rear shocks and armored exhaust. All factory, including the white spoke wheels. The front sub frame finally rusted apart.

What's wrong with another OEM battery? 7 years on a battery in a place that experiences brutal winters is pretty good too. I've been using Toyota batteries exclusively here in Chicago area since 2007 and no complaints, 3 Toyotas.

If you're going to spend $200 on an AGM battery, you might as well go with an Odyssey. I have done terrible things to my Odysseys that would kill other batteries, and they keep on ticking.

I read this on BITOG so take it with a grain of salt. It says Duralast AGM is made by Odyssey. My 2021 needed a battery (died with no warning after 2 years). I hate the dealer and don't want them to ever touch by truck again so I got a Duralast EFB just because I didn't want to have to deal with a voltage booster right now. 3 year warranty and it was like $220.

They don't sell the Panasonic's at the dealers. They only come in new vehicles.

Deka is an excellent battery. I've used the wet cells in my boat and cars for many years. Duracell car/RV/boat batteries are made by them.
I've asked the dealership parts guys about the Panasonic batteries. They said they cannot get them here, but wish they could. My 2004, bought in 2003, came with one and I still have it. Replaced it in 2015 but it still holds almost a full charge. I just didn't trust it for winter. It's still good for other things, like jump starts and my inverter for power outages.

Never had a problem the True Start that Toyota dealers sell, those have been and are in my Highlander and 4Runner now, very reliable and durable.

Received the Deka today with a manufacturing date of 7/23. Charged it up and installed today with the voltage booster. Good to go.

I’ve had good luck with Duracell batteries from Batteries Plus for past vehicles. I was going back and forth in going the AGM route as well, but went the traditional route.
