Slim Line Bumpers
I am looking for options for my 21 Off Road and was wondering what people are running. I won't get a winch and may or may not run lights in it.
Has anyone tried the SSO Slimline Lite Bumper. I like that it is a no cut bumper but was wondering if it was as strong as the others. Any other good options?
Also is there a data base of what is currently offered? I couldn't find one.
Thanks.

What're you trying to achieve here?
If you just want the look of a bumper w/o cutting, the Lite bumper would fit the bill. However, it's just a metal shell that goes over the bumper cover so imo every other slimline that bolts to the frame directly is going to be stronger.

some people have complained lately about SSO and their lead times and unwillingness to refund after greatly exceeding the stated lead times. Also, I'm not a fan of their recovery point placement. They are too high IMO and create a lever that is pulled on. I prefer my recovery points to be in line with the frame (C4, CBI, CaliRaised). You may not want a winch or a light bar now, but modding is an addiction. give yourself room to grow. I would get the CaliRaised due to the recovery point placement and the vertical winch fairlead. I also have their sliders and have been impressed with the powder coating so I would imagine the bumper would be similar.

Thank you. I do want to increase the front end strength so I probably need one bolted to the bumper. Thanks for the recommendation and I will look at the CaliRaised.
Any other experiences would be appreciated. I'll need someone to install too. I'm not big on cutting the plastic.

They are not cheap, but if I ever did this mod I would probably get a Victory 4x4 Blitz in aluminum. I'm not expecting to nail it into rocks very often so would prefer the weight savings of an Al bumper. Really nice light bar and winch integration also if you want to go that way.
I love the aesthetics and functionality of their sliders (which I have had for a couple years).

I have the Warn slimline. Simple, without the LED bar cutouts, which I didn’t want. Strong, aesthetically nice, good powder coating. It is airbag rated. If you’re going to get one, do it right and get a steel one bolted to the frame. Mine was $778 a year ago delivered, now I see there up to ~$1000.

I went with the SSO hybrib bumper with a winch and lightbar cut out. It’s very easy to do diy. The weight may have dropped the front by 1/2”, maybe.

when i had one of these thangs, I went with SSO, and I loved it. My buddy rocks my old one, and he loves it.
I would get the one that looks good to you, and falls within your budget, and can actually meet their promise times.

The C4 and the SSO were my initial plans a few years ago. I didn’t like that at the time, C4’s didn’t come powder coated and you had to pay shipping. That’s when I thought I would go to the SSO. Then the Warn popped up when I decided to do it back in October. I would have been happy with any of these three.

2014+ 4Runner Low Profile Front Bumper
I bought this one. Yes there is cutting. It wasn't bad. Im' currently at work so i do'nt have pics. but similar to all the others just less on the cost. I've had it on for a few months. I bought steel and sprayed it with undercoating.
