Bilstein 6112 with 1/4” top hat spacer

Has anybody ran this combo and or more importantly, cycled the suspension with a 1/4” or 1/2” top hat spacer? I’m currently running 6112s at the top clip with 600# springs. The only thing is I’m only getting 2” of lift but I love the ride qualities with the 600# spring. I don’t want to move to a 700 or 650 pound spring in order to maintain my ride quality. Therefore I’m looking into adding a thin top hat spacer. Being that the 6112s add an extra inch of droop, I’m concerned that adding a spacer may lead to too much extension.

So my question is, has anyone ran a similar setup and fully cycled the suspension? To ensure no CV or ball joint bind at full droop? And no issues at full bump? Or does anyone know if a preload collar exists for the 6112s that’ll give me a bit more height?

I’m also considering adding a small spacer/washer below the top hat nut in order to slightly limit down travel.

Check Wescott Designs for a preload collar.

"Tinkerer's Adventure" youtube has a discussion of Toyota IFS suspension, cycles suspension and discusses spacers. You might take a look and see if it answers your question.
I'd link it but I'm technically disadvantaged!

what setting do you have your 6112s on? aren't there multiple clip height settings so you shouldnt need a spacer?

I believe the cv's will be fine. but the ball joint in the UCA is gonna be at a pretty good angle at full droop. whatever you add to the top, add a spacer to your bump stop so you dont over compress the shock. I used my plasma cutter to cut my own bump stop spacers, just some 1/4" sheet metal. (i did the same idea but with the king shocks so i woudnt need to change the spring preload. bought the king top hat spacer from ekstrom design) Ekstrom Design & Fabrication Corporation -- A Coachbuilder Company -- – Shop Coachbuilder

Ended up tossing the spacer in. It actually measured out to be 3/8” but surprisingly only gave me about 1/2” of lift. So I’m at 2.5” of lift up front which is what I wanted. At full droop there is not issues. Wheel spins fine and turns lock to lock no issue. Didnt test full bump because I didn’t feel like breaking the strut down but I was more so worried about droop.
