QUESTION 2012/2013 TRAIL EDITION-Canadian model

Gurus on here!. Been looking for 2012/2013 Trail Edition. I was thinking that a TE had the mechanical 4x4 and then the trail edition rims and hood scoop. Am I mistaken?

The few TE's i've looked at have the mechanical 4x4 but no TE rims or hood scoop? Was this a specific trim level or are they parts removed from by the original owner?

I'll attach a pic here of what I'm shopping for.

the early 5th gen TE in Canada had a manual transfer case, the TE rims and hood scoop. Although many people have modified their early 5th gens by now to look like a TE when they are really not. The SR5 also came with a manual transfer case, the limited is the only one that came with an electronic transfer case

the only 100% way to verify if a vehicle is a trail is to see if it has rear locker and MTS/Crawl control. that is exclusive to the trail

Great! Thanks for posting this really clears things up.

For some reason I thought only the TE had the manual transfer case but must be 2014+ which is what I had previously.

A few of the 2013 SR5’s interior pics I’ve seen seem to have the electronic transfer case knob and wasn’t sure if they were exclusive to the SR5. I was checking they weren’t the limited trim but will have a second look.

edit I’m posting a pic of the rear locker and crawl control for future reference
