12V Lighter Delay is Now Gone

I've been plugging into my cigarette lighter outlet for a while. Since this is switched it should be perfect for making sure the device turns off with the engine. The device briefly tries to boot then would lose power and shut down and I'd have to push the device power button.

Well... After getting my 4R back from some body work, the power lose is gone.

The work done was basically rear bumper, tailgate and 1 backup sensor replacement.

Would anyone know of the reason for why there's no power loss during engine start up?

I don't know; unless they installed some update (seems like it would be on your invoice though). In our 2013 SR5 we have a Garmin GPS plugged into the front 12V outlet. When we start up the Garmin powers its self up and when we turn the vehicle off it goes into a countdown and powers its self off. This could be a safety issue with things powering on without user input - so perhaps they changed it.
