What parts needed to go to non auto running boards?

I'm done with messing with the Auto running boards on my 13 4runner. Replacing the ECU looks like a pain. I know there is some kind of body panel and mounting bracket that is present on the 4runners with the non auto or no running boards. Is there a part number for this and does it install easily?

Anyone else go to traditional runningboards and have some suggestions?

the non auto running boards have 6 bolts per side (I think they are m8). they are very easy to install and mount into the rocker panel, not the frame. you just need to order the style you like and the hardware. can be done solo in about 30 minutes

what I don't know is if the auto running boards have different rocker panel mounting set up. I would assume they bolt in exactly where the non auto boards would be. crawl under your truck and have a look to see how they mount up. then youtube any 4runner running board install video and see if the bolts line up. if they line up it will be straight swap, aside from removing all the electronic components with the auto boards

Thanks I'll have a look. I've read the Limited rocker and body panel sit too low for full-time running boards. However, as long as the new boards do not sit lower than the auto, I see no problem. I've had one side or two "stuck out" for months before and no issues

I had the non auto running boards on my 2013 SR5. I took them off so my wife had an easier time getting in and out from her wheel chair; as they stick out some from the rocker panel. I removed the bolts (2 per bracket) and then reinstalled them as they help hold the rocker panel on. I left the brackets attached to the running boards. Pretty easy and only takes a few min.

Are you able to extend the running boards out at all? During the winter time I just extend them out then pull the 30a fuse out under the hood and keep them extended all winter.

I've tried that..however, gettting them both to extend out all the way is nearly imossible. EVERY combination you can think of except both out all the way.
