Aim the headlights a little lower, this should solve any issue.

One reason I prefer the VLED’s product: they designed them to place the led chips at the same location on the “bulb” where the halogen element sits on a halogen bulb. This results in the “hot” area of light being projected into the reflector or projector at the correct location.

I went through this recently, I was running Morimoto HID in a set of 2015 OEM housing and they were great, aim them properly after you install them, that's the best option as they're bright. Then the headlights got dull and old so I wanted new housing. I was patient and kept looking on the FaceBook marketplace. I found a guy selling a new 2023 LED headlight and fogs for $200. I bought them and changed out the connector, and they work great. I can get some photos of the output later. I have the OEM LED fogs sitting in a corner so if you want them for your wife, message me and I'll send them to you Free-Fiddy.

The OEM LED is nice because you don't have any extra wiring to worry about.
The fogs should be plug-and-play, I think.

The only time I've gotten flashed was after I put my lift in. Aimed them back down and haven't since. Another thing I'd recommend is a good set of LED fogs to go with them. I run Diode Dynamic SS3 Sports in Amber. Great light for the price, but I think they've gone up since I bought them.

Lower them down a bit. I want to say the cutoff should be at about 40" @25' from the wall/garage.

Not sure if this helps any, I have nothing to compare to, but the lights are great to me.

Those look great. Equivalent to the HID conversions I did on my Suburbans.

The Lasfits will arrive next week. I will do the install and report back here on the results.

Thanks!! I didn't even know they could be aimed like "Old School" headlights!

Did you retrofit projector lights with the the Suburban HID upgrade or are you “that guy” with the glare?

I’m sure you’ll notice a nice improvement with the Lasfits.

Yes, with just low beams. Going to look into aiming a bit lower this weekend. It could be that the 2" lift is not helping.

The Suburban OEM housings are for halogen bulbs. They have ribs in the lenses which would scatter light all over if used with HID bulbs:

I use the housings with euro clear lenses, but they must have a certain style cup over the low beam bulb:

https://www.carparts.com/details/Che...1&gclsrc=aw.ds

The cup cuts the glare you speak of and cuts a hard horizontal line on the beam, which you can see in the pics of the lights pointed against the garage. The line has some dog ears sticking up but is generally a hard line. It is not as sharp of a line as you’d see from the 2023 ORP LED housings, but decent enough.

Silverstars have a much shorter life than standard bulbs.

aiming

So, last night I got the chance to aim my Lasfits. WOW, my headlights were totally out of whack! On a 2020 SR5 with only 30k miles! I didn't think the 2" lift would affect it that much, but it did. The top of the pattern is now at 42" high, at 25 feet from the wall. Still a little high possibly, but I didn't get one flash on the way home last night. Before I adjusted them the top of the beam on the passenger side was 48" high, and the driver side was 46" high, so I can understand what the problem was. I might go lower, but things look good for now.

I've got the lasfit 4runner LED bulbs and dust caps as well for about a year now. They are a great option. I've had a few people flash at me as well, but with the projector lenses they are not as obnoxious as some other LED options. Mine are aimed a hair down to not be a complete ass hole.

Got the Lasfits installed. The twist and lock was a PITA compared to the OEM halogens, but perseverance prevailed. They are a significant improvement over the halogens. I parked the rig on our drive (0.25 miles long) and walked a distance to see how bright they are to oncoming drivers. They are bright. Have stock suspension and have not made any adjustments. This rig lives in a rural area of Montana where the deer and elk play. Wife approves, which is all that matters. Not posting pics as I saw the long thread on Lasfit review with the internet lighting expert going on and on. He probably lives in an HoA.
