Although, you really shouldn’t need it. If I could remove the never removed exhaust manifold bolts from my 1993 dodge d250 w/ cast iron head and manifold after 30 years and 200k miles without any rounding or shearing, you can do it on your like new transmission fill plug.
This fill plug actually calls for a shallow socket because the hex head is so short. This reduces the chances of slipping off. I’d wager that people who rounded were not using a short socket and allowed the torque to result in side load and socket pushing off the head.
