I have the part number for that as PTR03-35090-AC. Is that correct? Trd Intake Flow Accelerator. Air Intake System. | Part #PTR0335090AC | Toyota Auto Parts

Installation instructions have you removing the wheel well liner. Can it be installed from the engine side without removing the wheel well liner?
Never knew about this thing. Was just checking it out. Anyone know why pretty much every site says it won't fit a 2016 limited?

Yes it is. The other air intakes either increase the filter size, decrease filter restriction, or increase the size of the air tubes to supposedly get more flow. Not sure I believe all the claims.

Agree with others, waste of money stick with stock. I have tried all over the years with several vehicles. No tangible improvement and most likely a loss in filtration compared to stock paper element.

Stock is cold air and non aftermarket intakes increase power or MPGs by any amount you will notice. Maybe 2-3 horsepower at 9K RPM but the engine tops out at 5800. K&N sucks and the hot air fence does nothing to keep the hot air out.

With that being said I sent with TRD for a cleaner engine bay, some actual engine noise and because I can still use the OEM size paper filter.

I have a K&N but I honestly did it because, depending on the day and the mood, $50 is easier to waste than invest.

Save for the K&N sticker on the intake box, the slight increase in sound at deep throttle around 4k RPMs, and the lovely obligation to now clean it myself, dropping in a new paper filter every so often is the better option.

Even if the 10-hp increase is true from AFE's system, are you really going to feel it and get your money's worth?

Gears you'll feel. Tires you'll feel. Brakes you'll feel. Suspension you'll feel. Intake or exhaust you're really only going to hear.
