Any lifted 4Runners with stock tire size?

It seems I have seen one or two on here but after an hour of searching I cannot find em! My Google-Fu needs work

Anyway, I have a 2011 stock Trail Edition and am needing tires pretty quick. I dont want to do the lift right away but might do it if I cant find what I'm looking for.

Does anybody have a lifted 4Runner and run the 265's? Does this look stupid? I really want to end up with 255's vs 285's in the future but have not ruled out just going with the 265's in a ST Maxx

Thanks and I apologize if I should have found this via search, I promise I tried

I'm running stock size Duratracs, but will replace with 285s when these wear out.

Nathan used to have stock size Firestone MTs with an OW lift. looked great, IMO. mind you, MTs or Duratracs will look more appropriate than the stocker 265/70 P-rated highway tires.

REATA has a lifted TE with stock size Duratracs. I've seen his ride and it looks fine. Having the more aggressive tire makes the tire look bigger than it is.

That's really subjective. I had to wait a day to get the 285s installed after my lift was put in, so I had 265s with around 2.5" of lift. I thought it looked like a shopping cart and hated the look. This is just my own opinion and preference though.

The tires are LTX AT2s, not aggressive AT tires so that might make a difference.

I just happened to have the following pages all bookmarked because I was doing my own research recently, glad I didn't delete them yet.

Let me know where to send the bill for all my countless hours of searching

Thank you guys very much!!!! I knew I had seen some around but when I searched the key words I just couldn't find what I was looking for

I think I'm going with the 265's and the lift, I actually like the look and the tires weigh less than the 285's so I don't think my mileage or performance will take as big a hit.

I genuinely appreciate the help fellas!

If you are going to run a 265 then you have to have an MT. Anything else is Embarrising to look at. Maybe Duratracs. maybe. Go Mt's man, Scrawny legs are Gay! I ran the Firestone MT's on my Dodge 4x4 Deisel 315's and they were a Great Tire even for freeway commuting, towing, off road, rain snow. Great Tire! They have the deepest Knobbys on the market for sure. Got a little noisy at about 50k but usually you are ready to re up by then anyway. You will be able to sell them after you are done in the winter along the way. I put 60k and still got $900 bucks for my tires and stock wheels when I went for aftermarket wheels. Do yourself a favor, Don't be that Guy...

Question.....What would have more of an impact on gas milage?

1. An "MT" tire(like BFG, or Nitto Trail Grappler), in a 265/70.
2. A conservative "AT" tire(Cooper AT3, Nitto TerraG), in a 285/70.

Would it strictly be based of the weight/height/width of the tire? I'm assuming the aggressive tread pattern might hurt?

Just curious.....
