I would get a 200 series land cruiser with the v8. 5 years old used. same full time 4WD as the limited 4runner and torsen centre diff which is proven. new car prices are ridiculous. Toyota reliability or not, $70K for a vehicle is just a bad financial decision unless you can buy it in cash and buy it twice - then go for it

Also seems like you enjoy them having two previously. To each their own but you already know the answer to this
I think you are right Tanka. I do know the correct answer. Just needed a little push.

You always knew the answer Here's some more info to back you up. The LC prices assume there's no dealer markups and you can get your hands on one. When will they actually be available and at what street price? Will there be markups? Most dealers will but maybe not in your area.

As often as you're switching out vehicles you can always come back to the LC later. Toyota should have some of the new platform bugs worked out by then.

For those who say 2wd is good enough except once in a great while, the OP lives in a different world. Different every winter but this one though. Full time AWD or auto 4 hi is much preferred up north. Wish I had it but wanted the rear locker more.

The new Land Cruiser and Gx 550 will have some serious market adjustment price hikes until supply catches up with demand.

Just wanted to post an update. I ended up pulling the trigger on a 24 Limited my dealer was able to dealer trade for. I wanted a 5 passenger in WCP/Redwood combo.

Getting a cornfed 1" on the front and 275/55r20 Toyo AT3's put on before I take delivery. Should be done by the end of the week permitting the tires and spacer arrive on time.

Maybe. I think that won't be the case for the GX550. Last gen GXs were selling below sticker. It's an expensive truck, only so many people are buying them. I could maybe see a short amount of light markup time for LC250's, you've never been able to get the Land Cruiser name for this relatively low of a price here.

2024 Tacomas are selling for sticker for the most part.

Update: Decided to pass on waiting for the new LC and picked up a new 2024 Limited in Windchill with Redwood interior. I added a cornfed 1" lift front spacer and a set of 275/55R20 Toyo AT3's. Love it!

My wife loved her Limited
When she traded it in for a 17 Highlander Platinum we got the Redwood interior and loved it.
We looked for a new Limited with the redwood interior but finding one with auto running boards was practically impossible. While looking for one the TRD Sport was released in Oct 2021 and she wanted one of those worse.
You will like that vehicle a lot.

Great choice! Beautiful truck!

I know 275/55R20 is the best known stock upsize tire that fits, but I understand there may be a bit of YMMV depending on tire selection. So, how are yours fitting? Any rubbing? Got a rear and/or rear quarter pic to show them off?

I'll have to get a couple more pics!

Zero rubs with the 275/55/20 Toyo's. Very happy with the tire choice. The AY#'s look good and are smooth and quite.

Thumbs up

The 24 Limited in white with the redwood interior is stunning. Absolutely love it.

I have 24 Limited with the beige interior which I like very much. Very, very much. But…. that redwood really brings things up another level, especially with the upgrade in tires.
