About a month and half ago, installed victory 4x4 aluminum winch bumper and 10k evo Warn. Thinking it would minimize my overpaid 4 months old BP-51 suspension kit to sag (just a little) creating less tilt/rake. Well I was wrong. SMH..

Reverse parking or on a partially full wheel lock, its rubbing its AZZ off! I trimmed the bumper and I guess I will be trimming more but the issue is the damn rake!

Anyone running into similar issue? Any solutions?

Assuming OME coilovers came from the factory adjusted at full height perhaps spacers could help?

Any advices will be appreciated!

You can adjust the spring pre-load of the front coil-overs. See the last picture in the link below for a configuration guide. The guide suggest 0.39” pre-load with bumper and 0.59” with bumper and winch. Stock setting recommendation is 0.19” preload. It also suggests compression and rebound setting for the shock at for each configuration.

your tires are rubbing and you thought adding more weight would fix it? what wheels are you running? What size tires? changing ride height doesnt change clearance for IFS. trim it, change the wheel offset, or get smaller tires. those are your options.

With new suspension nothing was rubbing. I did not wanted to add heavy steel bumper because of the weight (also trying to put my runner on a diet) so I got the aluminum winch bumper but even so front height dropped to quite a bit with excessive rubbing.

Thanks.. I overlooked ARB website. With ARB winch and bumper Preload should be set at 20mm. ARB bumper alone will be at 15mm. I am assuming I should be somewhere in between? My bumper is easily less than half of ARB steel bumper.

Mudify suggests 0.19” (5 mm) stock, 10 mm w/ bumper, 15 mm w/ bumper and winch

ARB suggests 10 mm stock, 15mm bumper, 20 mm bumper and winch.

I would start at 15 mm.

Absolutely adjust the shock compression and rebound as well. Start with 4 comp and 6 rebound? Good luck!

As @honda250xtitan said, some more details would help, tire size, wheel details including offset, UCA details, Caster from alignment, how much lift you had before and after bumper, suspension settings, synthetic vs cable on the winch, any trimming, etc. Oh and pictures don't hurt either
Without any/all of that info really not much I can say other than that sucks go fix it.

Rake or not the same rub would have occurred offroad as the vehicle goes through its articulation. The tire, wheel & alignment setup didnt fit before the bumper, its just more noticeable now (and super annoying). Figure out where to trim and push liners, change tires and/or wheels and ask you alignment tech if they can help. Narrower tires, shorter tires and wheels with less negative offset all help reduce the rub risk at the front and back of the wheel wells.

Do you like the way the front end handles with the added weight and the current shock and spring setup? Depending on how that feels heavier springs may be on option. Pre-load on adjustable coilovers or spacers isn't always the answer.

Running on stock trail wheels with BFG 285/70/17 KO2s, OME UCA, Warn 10k EVO with synthetic and partial trim of front bumper but most likely going with high clearance viper cut wings from Victory in near future. That being said rubbing won't be a much issue but the rake/tilt is irking the crap out of me!

I am definitely will need to readjust the preload as ARB recommended but not too sure about the full 20mm because my bumper is the aluminum lo pro bumper that weighs 60- 70% less than ARB Steel..

honestly....throw a shim under the coilover top hat. sandwich it between the shock and the coil bucket. you might need longer bolts.

i'm using these on my Kings so i could reduce preload on the spring. the overall length is ok because of the aftermarket uppers being used (you should be fine with the OME ones too)

while youre doing that, jack up the LCA till it hits the bump stop, and check tire clearances. thats the absolute best way to get full clearance at any point of articulation. yes it's a pain to throw the tire back on and do all that extra work, but that way youre not guessing at what to trim.

you're probably rubbing due to the added caster from the upper control arms. it drives better but the tradeoff is less tire clearance. that size tire on stock trail wheels fits a stock 4runner with mud flap removal and minor front stocck bumper trimming.
