Oil for oil change

My runner has one oil change left under warranty so I will be doing it myself. I could not find out what oil Toyota recommends. Does any one know. Also what are people using?

your oil cap will say what type of oil you need, as for brand i typically opt to spend less on the oil but change it more often, super tech from Walmart or the Kirkland from Costco are priced competitive and meet all the standards

** I tend to stick to Mobile1, but prob. doesn't matter if you change it every 2500-3K miles.

0W20 is OEM and called out in the manual.

Mobil 1 is a great brand - pick it up at Walmart. Wally world is much cheaper than auto parts places. $25 to $30 for 5 quarts iirc.

I change my oil every 5K miles or once a year on my 2015 (recreational weekend vehicle).
I will use the cheapest (because I’m a cheap bastard) full synthetic oil I can buy. As long as it’s the correct type of weight/viscosity and has the API seal of approval, then I'm good.

over 110K miles and still running strong.

agree any full synthetic oil 0w-20 should be fine. I usually buy on sale at $21 5qt pennzoil during rebate periods. 2 5qts get a $25 rebate/gc. change every 6-7500 miles.

Don't forget the filter! Look up Antman's oil change procedure in the stickys. It has all the info you need to do an oil change right - tools, part #'s, etc.

Buy whatever cheap 0W-20 full synthetic you can.

Costco typically has 10 quarts for about $32

Its a mass produced toyota. Oil is oil as far as the engine is concerned.

Toyota bottles call out made by Mobil1.

I opted for 0-20 Advanced Fuel Economy. Someone had said this formula is closest to OEM but I cannot confirm that.
