Value Opinion 2013 Limited

Greetings community. I'm in the 4R marketed in prep for a new driver in the fam. My brother is the original owner (wife's car) of a '13 Limited. She drove it 220k until she got a new Highlander at which time my bro replaced the XReas with ToyTec and ICON/Open Country shoes all around. He's since put another 20k on it driving around Texas in his job. Every oil change and repair has been done at the dealership and is all well documented. He is selling it to fund his Harley habits and I am thinking about buying it.

What is a fair price in your opinion?
What major repairs are likely even with easy driving and great service records?

Those with auto running boards are super nice and hard to find
What condition is the drivers seat in? Typically with 240k the seat edge is flat and the pleather is cracked and torn. Or has the seat pad and leather base been replaced?

What does the hood look like, are the rock chips starting to turn into cancer or does the paint on the hood still look good?
What color interior?
What is the height of the front lift, it looks like a 2.5-3" was the front diff dropped down? When you go above 2" on the limited, (if its 4wd) due to their front diff AWD system the front end will lock in every time you hit a bump due to the axle angle which is a real killer on the front diff. Definitely needs the diff drop down bracket.
Is it a 2 row or 3 row seating?
Does it have the bigger square JBL radio or the more rectangular Entune radio? The JBL is by far my favorite.

With the mileage, and not knowing the answers to those questions, that vehicle could be anywhere from $13,000 to $16,000 i would guess.

Welp, KBB says $12,500 trade in to $15,800 for private party sale. With the "upgrades" and the condition it appears to be in, i would say its a SOLID $15,000 vehicle, but the owner is likely going to ask $18,000-$20,000 if they are attached to it.

Hey BTW did he keep the OEM wheels? I kinda need another set... Are the stock wheels going with the sale of the vehicle? I dont need another 4R but if he is willing to go down to like $14k i would come scoop the vehicle and stock wheels up.

with around 240k miles on it your probably looking at around 13-15k, not factoring all the mods he's made but it sounds like they're fairly modest.

this is more important than mileage tbh. 240k well maintained has another 100k easily. you may have to do things like valve cover gaskets, etc. so be prepared for that expense but if you're not near winter or the ocean then rust is not really a concern

Bigger question-did the dealership service the coolant, transfer case, transmission and differentials?

That being said, I wouldn't pay for upgrades. Base it on stock vehicle. $13-14K seems fair.

I'd take my DIY service over dealership oil changes everytime.

Wholesale is $11k, retail is $16k. I'd say ~$13k is a good family buy.
