5th Gen Newbie! Just saying Hi

Aloha from Hawai'i guys! Just wanted to introduce my self and the new rig I picked up. I've been a 4runner fan for years. First had a 2001 then most recently had a 2nd gen 94 4x4 that I let go of to upgrade to an early 5th gen.

Really stoked to be on the 5th gen platform and have a lot of plans and subsequent questions too.

"New" truck is a 2011 Trail Edition in Onyx Black with 70k miles on it. Overall the truck is amazing, previous owner took quite good care of it. He bought it from Toyota certified pre owned with 12,000 miles then took it regularly to Toyota for everything even replacing "scratched" door panels, etc. It also has a Bilstein leveling kit. 6112s and 5160s. He also put gold TRD wheels on it which look great imo. Tires will be changed from BFG Trail Terrain 265 70r 17s, they have plenty of life but want to go touch bigger and more aggressive. (I also have the near perfect original Trail Edition Rims so want to throw the 265s on those to sell and then put meatier tires on the TRD rims. Leaning to KOs'2 as that's what I had on the 2nd gen and loved them. Want to go 285 70r 17s or a touch bigger if I can. Also open to suggestions. Looking at Falken Wildpeak At4 as well.

Being that the truck is over 12 years now despite only having 70k miles I feel like it's time to change most of the fluids that haven't been done. I did put in a new battery (Optima Red Top) As the old one (Interstate) while still working, was 9 years old and not handling charging phones or running lights/radio very long with truck not running (truck spent some years in storage while PO was on deployment so I think that explains why battery lasted 9 years) I went AGM because we do a fair bit off off road exploration and camping and wanted a battery that can handle the abuse. Also pulled the back seat bottoms to have plenty room for the wife and I to sleep comfortably.

Plan to do soon:
-Coolant
-Transmission fluid
-Front and Rear Diffs
-Transfer Case
-Spark Plugs
-Undercoating and treatment of minimal surface rust on frame. (Still trying to decide what to run. Probably will do fluid film on inside of frame and doors etc. and either Cosmoline on outside of frame or Eastwood Rust converter paint.
-Serpentine belt
-Upgrade air filter (eventually)
-Guy had brakes front and rear done by Toyota and full alignment after lift.

Plan to do later:
-Tires - I'm still researching what will fit if a true 33" or a 33.27 or whatever they have will fit with minor trimming.
-Rooftop tentrobably will upgrade from air mattress to foam mattress cut to fit the back first, but it seems ideal to have a sleeping space ready to go up top (plus cool views!) and all the gear loaded in the back.
-Front grill swap. PO gave me a box of Toyota emblems and full lettering (I'm partial to TOYOTA on the front over the emblem personally)
-Front mini bumper with winch.

Possibly: (But not too likely)
-Front locker
-Bigger lift
-35's
(So far I'm blown away by the capability of the rig with Crawl Control, A Trac, Rear Locker, and MTS it's just had zero issues on the terrain we've encountered so the lift, fr locker, and bigger tires are probably overkill and will kill mpg.)

If anyone interested I have some OEM parts for sale: 2011 (I'll post in for sale too) I've listed everything locally, but this is the only Trail Edition I've seen in Hawai'i so it's limited for who would want this stuff I think.

-Trail Edition Silver Wheels (Near perfect, some very light scratches on lip)
-Stock Suspension came off with like 40k miles quite clean little surface rust.
-Interior door panels (Driver-Very clean only minor scratch on handle, and Driver side Passenger-New or like New)

Dropping some pics of the "New" and "Old" rigs ;)

Ok everyone Aloha and look forward to interacting with the 5th gen crew!

nice pickup . low mileage OG 5th gen. I don't see too many of those around here. probably more common in places where there is no roadsalt/winter. I have a 2012 with about 165k miles on it. the 5th gen IMO is the best 4runner toyota ever built including the 6th gen. OG trails are even more rare

might want to get a trickle charger with the AGM battery or do the mod that allows more volts output to properly charge the AGM battery

"Voltage Booster" for 31M AGM Battery
