nguyen has a hitch option, he just cant rate it for towing due to liability. find a good shop to weld it on and add reinforcements so you can trust it. '
his bumper/tire swing is the best looking IMO. followed closely by the 80% guy's stuff.

Are you saying Dissent offers a swing out without using the whole aftermarket rear bumper? I don't see it on their site.

Yeah. If you go Shop -> Swingouts it's under there. It goes in the hitch and you can have a single or dual swingout setup. and those swingouts can transfer to a bumper if you want.

Pull the spare tire out and take pix, or find someone who pulled theirs and did a lift gate spare and posted pix. I kinda think there are two braces that run parallel to the tires, that have like a hook on the front towards the rear diff to keep the tire from sliding forward. You might could actually cut those out and make a hoop/basket that would weld in higher than those cross bars that allows the tire to sit higher.
I have the 285 on my 4th gen and it hangs way down
i have the 305 on my 5th gen and it REALLY hangs way down. You can see like 3" of tire below the trailer hitch. I think it looks bishin but i can understand the approach and departure angles argument. If there is a brace that can be cut that would allow you to move the tire higher, you may wanna look at it. Also, using a roller to roll 1/4" flat bar the same radius as your 35" tire would allow you to section out the trailer hitch slightly and weld in the flat bar at the radius that would allow the 35" tire.
When i was putting the 305 under the wifes rig i set it back against the trailer hitch.
When i installed a rear backup light in the receiver, i had to let the tire down so i could push it forward to get the harness and plug to come out of the inside of the receiver and make it around the tire. I vaguely remember the receiver sticks out a little past the actual hitch bars further inward toward the tire. You could section this out and weld in a new radius piece and cut the cross bars up front and most likely fit the 35. Like that other guy above said, why not find a skinny 34" and run a little more air in it to match your 35s so it wont hang down so low if you cant mod the spare tire rack to move the tire higher. I am not around the 5th gen at the moment or i would stick my hands around the tire and see what kinda room it has. I think when i let the tire down and pushed it forward for the wiring of the trailer hitch, i had a solid 3/4" more room between the tire and the back of the receiver hitch but i am pretty confident there is an easy 1/2 you can cut off the back of the receiver before ever getting into the cross bars. But sectioning the cross bars with a radius to match your tire would be tits.

Yo, this bracket has a taper to it, you could get at with some metal fab and pocket this piece out pretty easily. Even if you had to build a new panhard bar with a radius forward. You could easily fit your tire
Would be smart to chop this bracket, maybe even make a radius panhard bar, and find a skinny 35 that would tuck up under there.
Crap I don’t have enough service to upload pix I’ll keep trying.

Another
This back bar could easily be cut and a radius Piece of flat bar be welded in.

Here is how much ours hangs down
I’m quite confident with slight modifications you can stuff a 35 in the hole. Section that one bracket at the dotted line, maybe slightly massage the hitch, run a skinny 35 for a spare. Should be solid. I kinda like the look of how this tire hangs down in ours. It’s meaty lookin. Both of mine hang down line this.

This is an original CTNewman carrier.
Camera: I moved my original camera to the center of the wheel mount.
SSO is still making them as of my last conversation.
I think they currently make the offset for the ladder. They have all the plans in hand for the offset and the center carrier.
SSO is local to me.
I had the same feelings about all of the other carriers and that is the reason for me purchasing one from CT.
PM me for more information.
Excuse the dirt in the photos.

OK..........
I spoke with the same person at SSO that you spoke with and
I can confirm as of today, they do not have an eta on the carrier. (sorry for any misleading data)
Also, they do not have any readily available.
They are the only people that have CT's plans on this carrier.
They have a backorder on these currently and I hope they will get back on schedule manufacturing these....

All good man!
I was fairly surprised at their response...
Who knew it would be so hard to find a spare tire solution that I like
