Tailgate pad/mat

Are there any manufacturers that make a pad/mat specifically for SUV's with the roll down rear window that will protect the paint/window seal from hauling a kayak?

Hauling a kayak inside through the rear window? Most kayaks are too long to do that, so they are usually put on a roof rack with tie downs at the front and back. The rear tow hitch receiver is excellent for the rear tie down.
Edit: Both Yakama and Thule make kayak racks for the roof.

roof is best option. but if you can't do that then just buy a moving blanket. they are thick and if you fold it a couple times it will protect just fine. as for your original question, have not seen anything like that for the 4runner

They make them for pick-up trucks to transport bikes. Lots out there.

I'm going to buy a pair of crossbars with J saddles for longer transport but my local river that I will be fishing mostly is only 15 minutes away from my home. So, on days that there is zero chance of rain forecasted, its much quicker to just slide it thru the rear window space. It is a "sit on top" (10' 6"L x 32"W, 55 lbs) model & the seat detaches quickly for transport.
