Trail Edition builds post your shots! (Early 5th Gen)

Hey guys I've got this sweet 2011 Trail Edition runner 70k and I'm trying to figure out tires. I did a post but got a lot of pics and ideas from all 5th gen year guys. I want to specifically see Trail Edition runners and what tires, wheels, and lift you are running.

I'm probably gonna stick with the wheels on it (Gold TRD) and if anything I'll crank the front Bilstein's up, but could go to a proper lift. Right now as a leveling kit I believe they are right around 2" in front maybe a touch more. They go up to I think 3.25 or 3.5 can't remember the specs.

Currently has 265 70 17's I just want a taller, wider more aggressive tire. I love the look of muds but honestly will rarely have a use for them ATs are a better fit. Had KO2s on my old truck and loved them so considering KO3s.

Just looking for some inspiration, to see what you guys have done, and get psyched to change the rig up.

Oh also if you have any info on what you had to mod to make your tires fit that would be helpful too!

285/70/R17 Nitto Ridge Grapler tires fit without any mods. Slight rub when reversing at full steering lock is non-issue in my opinion because it is rare and inner fender liner contact. Some mods:

Schrockworks (company closed now, many similar products available from other companies):

Terra Grapler tire @ 285/70/R17:

Fox 2.0 and TRD brake pads:

LC engine cover, ARB Twin air compressor. and oil catch can:

Thanks so much for this! That's great to know the 285 70 17s fit. I agree a little rub full lock in reverse is no big deal. Definitely the look I'm going for the wheel wells just look too void right now and need some width on the tires too really fill out the stance too. I love the trd bead locks I've heard they're pretty much impossible to get

what size lift are you running. Btw I love the sliders too. Exactly what I want, I have 2020 steps but I only got them for my mother when she was visiting as she has a bad him and needs a step to get in. Much prefer the slider style tube steps like you have. May end up making something myself.

285/75/17 Yokohama Geolander MT but I’m due for new tires soon so I’ll probably jump up to 315/70/17. To get the 75 wall to fit I had to get a BMC, pushed fender liner, pinch welds, and lots of trimming and I still rub abit. Planning to get relocate cab mount and C4 fender liner for the 315s

Any of you original Trail owners still have the brackets kicking around that allow the crossbars to mount to the factory roof rails?
