Can I Cut This Plastic?
Hi!
Thanks for stopping by! I recently installed a pair of Fox 2.5’s and the reservoir sits up super snug against this inner wheel well plastic that I’m assuming covers a fluid tank within the engine…maybe?? Anyone know if this can be cut or possibly heated up and remolded inwards to give me more room?
Drivers side is perfecto but passenger side gives no room due to all this plastic.
Thanks!!

Yes they usually can be heated with a heat gun or a good hair dryer and molded out of the way.

Thanks!! Heating and remolding would be preferred so the plastic still does its job. I just didn’t know how much room I had to work with between this plastic in the wheel well virus the part in the engine it’s protecting but if it’s a common solution then I will def get a heat gun and give it a whirl!

Initially I heated mine and moved it, but just spend a little and get the Ark Splash Guards. They looks great and offer better coverage and fitment.
Code TRDHULK gets you 10% off. They offer rear mud flap deletes as well.

I don't make a commission off them, but they did provide to me for free
You can also see by the pic I cut my splash guards back a bit
