5th Gen Platform base / Seat removal

Who has replaced their seats / back area of the 4R with a platform / flat surface? Goosegear makes a kit, but has anyone done any DIY platforms or build outs ? Anyone with a PRO and the floor slide that has modified their back with drawers or a platform in the middle? Love to see pictures and whats been done out there.

Our team member with the '16 TRDP T4R is going to the Rubicon trail mid August, prepping the vehicle and looking for ideas!

Side note: Anyone done the Rubicon in their 5th Gen? +1 if you have pics!

there's a few threads on this. many people have done them. I have done one as well. Removed the seats as well as the seatbelt hardware and seatbelts. I would suggest though using a 3/4" thick plywood rather than 1/2".

one thing that is not talked about in a lot of these DIY is the underside support and how much and where to place them. I probably did a bit of overkill and what I did is below before I sanded finished and sealed the wood. but that platform isn't going to flex or go anywhere no matter what I throw up on it. the 4 smaller holes go through rivnuts I put in to the support brace for the second row seats

Great setup and that looks stout!

I have a TRDP with the sliding rear floor I was trying to modify a drawer system to fit ontop and take the middle row out for a platform setup seeing as the drawers and back will be occupied.
