Another Audio Question

I know this has been discussed in the past, but I was wondering if anyone has any more recent info that may have changed over the years.

I just got a 2020 with the "new" non-JBL stereo system and I knew the audio quality was going to suck, but what can I do until I have the money to replace the head unit? I'm planning on going the full route of quality components and sound deadening after saving up for a bit.

Certain frequencies are very quiet or non-existent. Has anyone tried to add some kind of DSP to the stock system? I assume it doesn't have any line-level outputs and I'm afraid a line-level converter wouldn't work well with the signal coming out of the head unit.

Just replace the speakers on the dash and in the doors. The OEM speakers, especially non-JBL are pretty cheap. I replaced all my speakers with high quality speakers from OEM Audio+ and the improvement was substantial:

Thanks for the info. I may try replacing some of the speakers to see if that helps. That's a nice kit but I'd rather drop that kind of cash on a head unit first with proper DSP.

I had a sony 8100 aftermarket and it was nice output but preferred the OEM look. I retrofitted a 2020 plus to a 17 model. I would recommend adding a KICKER - KEY 200W Multichannel Amplifier Model:47KEY2004 very good reviews.
