Question Unused plug in dash of 2024 TRD ORP

While installing my Auxbeam/OE Panels kit I noticed a used plug, just curious if anyone knows what it is used for/what factory option I'm missing? Picts of my factory switches (missing switch is new/extra hole in OE panels that I will eventually installing an "anytime camera" switch I think.

Toyota often puts the wiring into vehicles for options that are not installed. Just because the plug is there does not mean you can install the switch for that option, for the other electronics would also be missing.

You might be able to identify which option you don’t have by looking at the switch diagrams and how they are used in the owners manual, but most likely you cannot add that option.

One of those switch-blanks is used on the Limited: to enable / disable the automatic running-boards, I think. They extend out. and retract on the Limited.

The leftmost switch-blank in your case is used on my Canadian TRD Pro Off-Road: to heat the lower portion of the windshield so the wipers don't stick in the ice and snow. I see yours has the windshield-heater too, but on the far-right (as opposed to my far-left).

Those are the only factory options I can think of, for the first two switches in that row to the left of the inverter power-selector. I do think Toyota puts in wires and connectors that are only selectively used in differerent trim-levels or markets.

Thanks for the responses, I didn't think about the power running boards on limited. It is so interesting how Toyota decides option/button layout on the same vehicle in different markets...

It was more curiosity than anything else. Thanks All!

I can't check because I'm still waiting on mine, but I believe the switch for the optional multi terrain monitor is there.
