Side Skirt Removal for RB's

So the deal is, I removed the side skirt on my TRD Sport as it is bolted on using the same holes as a running board would use. I bought the running boards to make it a bit easier for my wife to get into the cab.

Does anyone know the part number, or is there a lower piece that will replace/cover what is obviously a naked looking area between the bottom of the rocker panels and the boards?

I've since reinstalled the side skirt until I can find a better solution. I've tried the toyota site searching body panels, etc, to no avail.

Thanks in advance.

And those are Toyota RB's if anyone was wondering.

yes - there is a piece. it looks like you have the limited/style trim on the sides with the long side skirts. you should be able to swap the limited trim side skirts for the SR5 / TRD etc. side skirts that sit much higher. I have a 2012 and did the exact same thing because I wanted to remove my mud flaps and have higher clearance on the sides.

you will need a series of parts though. for me these were the parts I needed (I ordered a couple extra parts here and there for clips etc) but again I have a 2012 so check parts catalogues for your model year. youtube and this forum also have some threads on it:

molding retainer x 16 76924-13020
molding grommet x 2 90189A0002
molding front right x 1 75857-35010 (I had to do a slight dremel on the inside of the molding to make it fit perfectly. not noticeable from the outside. I think this relates only to the early 5th gens though)
molding front left x 1 75858-35010 (I had to do a slight dremel on the inside of the molding to make it fit perfectly. not noticeable from the outside. I think this relates only to the early 5th gens though)
molding right x 1 75805-35130
molding left x 1 75806-35100

other parts I noted in my log but did not end up buying:

molding grommet 90189-06006
molding fastener left 75395-04010
molding fastener right 75395-04010 (same number as above)

I did this mod a couple years ago. really like it. one comment is that the rear fender flare will not line up perfectly smooth with the rocker trim. it's a non issue for most people unless you are quite particular. no one has ever commented that it does not look like it was meant to be that way from factory. unfortunately you will have to remove the running boards to put the new rocker panels in though

Thanks for the part numbers. I appreciate it. I may just return them and look for a single step option that bolts to the frame instead of the body.

nfab makes nerf bars for the longer side skirt panels but don't bolt to frame. anything that bolts to the frame will likely require you to work around the XREAS lines/actuators. greenlane offroad makes sliders that work around XREAS but require trimming of the side skirts I believe

Thanks, I'll have to contact them directly. I'm not seeing on their site where you can put 4runner information in for fitment.

just checked out their website . it must have went through a redesign because it's terrible. you used to be able to put in your vehicle and it would show what would fit

Here's the part number for the second set I ordered. I had the parts guy email me the instructions.
The brackets for the second set bolt direct over the mounting bracket for the side skirt. Although they're a bit more, I did get $120 off from the online purchase.

Part Number: PT925-89190
