The suspense is killing me! Those who have spoken with dealers who have seen the vehicle...did they mention how it looks? Is it round like all the new Toyotas or is it tough and edgy like a true 4Runner should be? I hate the trend of everything from Toyota getting so crossover/car like.

All the Gen Mgr said to me was the 2010 4Runner will be built on the box/ladder frame, most probably with the 4.6 liter V8, six speed auto tranny, will be more truck-like rather than the Highlander ride and build, but it will be a different design than the 4th generation.

Coupled with the factory as mentioned monitoring the economy and them varying the production of models to fit the economic conditions, the 5th generation's 'public persona' seems to have been held close to the vest.

For now, that's all I've got re: beta.
