Consumer Reports Cars Blog: Test complete: 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I tested an SR5 and it is hard to argue with the "buoyant" criticism. I much prefer the Trail ride w/ KDSS.

My Limited doesn't do that either, and the leveling kit seems to stem the nose dive thing too. But they tested an SR5.

Sure, they can knit pick, they should. But to say there are better off-road based SUV's in the market.... Go ahead honey, show me. Misaligned presets come in dead last compared to reliability, mechanical build quality and resale. A better off-road based, midsized SUV does not exist in the market, period.

Also, if memory serves, Consumer Reports have never liked the "truck" based 4Runner. The love always comes later after long-term owner feedback and reliability stats compared to other like vehicles.

Funny too, I just watched their GX460 review and there's the "truck" based thing again. You can turn it into a drinking game, "you have to drink every time they say truck". WTF, they seem to want everyone to favor car based "SUV's" instead. If I wanted a damn car, I would have looked at cars, test the vehicles for what they are indented for Consumer Reports not for what your limp wristed testers would rather see us purchase.

Canyonlands National Park, Utah-Elephant Hill Trail

We stopped in Canyonlands National Park on our way up to Moab from the Grand Canyon. Here are some videos my 11 year old daughter shot yesterday at Elephant Hill trail in Canyonlands National Park about 75 miles SW of Moab. My other daughter was manning the Nikon with penty of great pics too.Off to the Top of the World and the Arches today in Moab.

These were shot right at the beginning going over and down into the Canyon. The trail we went on was 32 miles long with unbelievable scenary and plenty of other tough places ,like SOB hill, and highly recommended. I aired the BFG KM2's down to only 30psi from my usual 40psi and had no troubles as they stuck like glue. The fun part was going back over Elephant Hill ,right at dusk the same way we came in.

I updated the music and combined the videos!

Looks like a great time. Any clearance issues, scrapes, or angle problems?

There are 8 videos,4 going up and over and 4 going down the other side, but I'm just embedding a couple and links to youtube for the rest. The music is youtube music so don't ask!!!

Amazing Harper, thanks for posting these! Glad to see you getting that truck where it belongs. Looks unstoppable. Tell the kids good work
