Coconino National Forest

These were shot in the mountains just SW of the south rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. As you can see in some of the video , wild fires had scorched some of the Ponderosa Pines within the recent past few years. The Coconino National Forest .... Coconino National Forest - Welcome!
A must see if your in the Grand Canyon area and easy offroading for 4Runners.

The cycle of life! All kinds off wild animals living here and saw herds of Elk, Deer and a Bear to name a few.

My 2 daughters,11 and 13, did all the video work.... I just had fun!

I combined and re-edited the video and music on the Moab video above too.

We got lucky! Cloudy and a brief shower/cloudburst every day. These were shot up over 8-9000 feet so it was perfect weather, around 70F and a slight breeze with the smell of the pines on it.

On the other side of the mountain were groves of Aspen trees and a gully washer downpour and the reason for the red mud all over the truck.Stayed out of a couple of streams that were swollen and rising, being by ourselves. That red mud was almost like paint and has to be scrubbed off.

Sweet Harper. Tell the girls great work. That is my favorite FF song, and a favorite song period. I do think you need to plant a new tree there though!!

Here a a few videos from Satur-day, 8-27-10. This is out in Anza Borrego on the Fish Creek Trail.

Sorry this first video is so shaky. Operator issues, no comment, haha.
Anyways, Just to mess with, I had the locker engaged and used Crawl Control. I didn't touch the gas or brake pedal till the very top. I did change the crawl control speed between the 1st(slowest) and the 2nd setting. Enjoy

Here is another video, this time we used a Tri-pod.

Here are a couple videos of the same area taken in May before I had the Rock Rails and the lift kit. The only mods were the tires and the wheel spacers. I even had the stock roof rack still, not that that affects off road performance or anything.

I'm sure some of you want to know how a stock 4Runner does over this type of terrain. My mom was the spotter as you can see in one video, and I basically just took my time to negotiate through all the rocks. ENJOY!

Just went to his place called St Joe's, basically a giant man made desert. First time offroading, I had a blast. Heres a little video I made of me and my buddys 3rd gen muddin. Funny thing is, 2 Jeep wranglers got stuck in the stuff we went through .

Just a quick clip, tire left the ground, suspension maxed out, etc.

Finally broke in my 1 month old! (Got a few trail stripes, but nothing too major)

Here are some videos from this weekends trip out to the Anza Borrego desert. The mud caves out there were pretty awesome, and there are some great trails there too. Unfortunately, the best offroading wasn't caught on tape.

And here is a nice shot of the Mud Caves out there...

2010 5tg Gen 4runner brake pedal

Take a look at [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PriMu9YXSBY]YouTube - Toyota 2010 4runner Brake Pedal[/ame]

Toyota refuses to correct poor design brake issues

I have been informed by several Toyota Dealers in different states that the 2010 4runner is notorious for the brake rattling and hissing sounds from the brake system on the 2010 4runner. I filed a request for repair with the local dealer and they passed it to the “Field Technical Specialist” who concurred that these is a very notable issues, but other similar vehicles are the same. He in turn passed it to Toyota “Engineers” who concluded “your 4runner meets Toyota’s manufacture’s specifications, there is no future repair or action to be taken at this time.” Yelp, we have your money and don’t care about you as a customer anymore, is this not how the US auto makers got into trouble?

Do we as customers and owners of this new 2010 4runner accept this outrageous and unacceptable position from Toyota? If you have a similar problem with your vehicle please let me know.

I usually just use my foot to brake so don't ever have this problem.
