LMAO so i was just browsing different 4runner videos. And i came across one, and the 4runner looked really familiar. THen i started to read one of the comments, and sure enough it was harper7 lol
I have made a short video. There is a lot of desert style videos so here is some forest trails to balance things out.
Some of the footage is pre lift, some is after (sorry no side views to compare - will get soon).
Our ARB bumper was just installed so I included a hasty pic of the rig at the end.
Thanks to all the form contributors for your help! This form has a been a limitless resource since getting the truck in late March. I really enjoyed Harper, and IdriVaT4R's vids...nice work guys!

I sure do appreciate your efforts to broaden our video horizons to include some trees. Much as I love the beauty of dry arid wilderness, a bit of greenery is a refreshing change. Nice work and I love your choice of soundtrack .. I'm a big fan of both Robbie Robertson and Eric Clapton. I like my music with a bit of hair on it.
I have a bunch of videos from Colorado trails, including a couple fast runs to show how the Icons eat bumps, that I have to go thru and edit and will be posting on Youtube next week. Colorado is one of the most beautiful places on Earth,no doubt.
These were shot just south of Ouray in the San Juan National Forest on Corkscrew Gulch that is one of a bunch of trails known as the Alpine loop. This is a medium(blue) trail and is easy although it's steep and along ledges sometimes. The last part to the very top is really steep with loose rocks.Ran them all on the loop except Poughkeepsie Gulch which is a red.......next year!Absolutely stunning scenery and hated to leave but I'll be back next year.
Here's #1 and #4 of 4 of going up the Gulch to the top of Red Mountain #2(12,219 ft elev.). Part 2 and 3 are linked below if you wanted to watch them too. They were shot with my Panasonic HDC -SDX1 HD camcorder I had mounted on top and a little shaky in HD.

Gary, you're driving "lead" truck both off and on the trail .. this forum owes you much!
Curious Mike, did you consider trying crawl control for that? Wonder how it would have eased up on the low setting.
We were five minutes in to the run, so I decided just to see if I could get up the near vertical rock at all. I'll be back there soon enough and I'll give it another go with the box of hammers Toyota calls "crawl control". Mostly, I just didn't want to annoy everyone else by taking the time to get it set up.

I'm sure you are smart enough to know this already but you have to be in 4L to operate Crawl Control in the first place. So if I am trying to save time, it makes no sense to get into 4L when 4H got the job done just fine.
But maybe you didn't know and you just want to look like a big shot on the internet.

Says the guy who is posting videos of himself climbing rocks on the internet? I was just saying you touched the rock at 0:27 and didn't climb it until 1:11. So 44 seconds and 3K rpms to climb a rock that you wouldn't have had to give it any gas had you been in 4Lo. And it takes maybe 4 seconds to put it in 4Lo. I was posting in good nature, but i forgot i was talking to the wanna-be bully on the forum. However I did like the video, nice work.

I'm sorry i offended you with my lack of experience, my inability to climb rocks to your standards, and my apparent misuse of the forum labeled "new vids" to show that a stock height 4runner is plenty capable. While I wasn't aware you had been appointed to judge what is and isn't acceptable both in how I drive and what I post, please accept my sincerest apologies and kindly go fvck yourself.
