Someone actually recommend cling wrap when I'm mud conditions. Just peel off when done. This is the best idea I've heard yet!

Maybe but might be labor intensive (?).
Got stuck in my FJ40 at Ft Hunter Liggett (Monterey County) while pig hunting. Darn adobe slicked up my tires and I rolled into a rain ditch. Climbed out the passenger window, hiked out and caught a ride to the checkout station. Got another ride to a motel. Upshot: Busted an axle on a tow truck, tore a mirror off of another FJ40, and burned out a winch on a "logging" P/U! Took 2 days to get out.
Back home, I could not touch the underside of the fenders through the mud=got kicked out of a do-it-yourself spray wash for making a mess (There were baseball sized rocks in the pile that washed out, including some with fossils in them). My TLC only suffered two scratches in the paint.
Lessons learned: Get a Hi-Lift, shovel, and a tow strap at the least!
BTW: As much as I have LOVED my two FJ40s, I love my 2019 SR5 Premium more!!
