2010 5th t4r in Indiana...No TE for the region

Well...They started coming to Indy... at Tom Wood Toyota where I bought my 4R they have a White Limited and expecting 2 more black ones in a couple of days. Oficially there is no TE available forthis region , not even one!!!. Not enough market according to the sales region manager of Tom Wood. Which means whom ever wants one they gonna have to get them from another region dealer. Sucks!!

My personal opinion...it looks beautiful.... it is huge also...way better in person than photos. Now I can really imagine how nice looking is the TE in person.

Her are a few pics.

Sounds like your dealer is making a big assumption about the TE. It might be true that there aren't any TE's in the region right now, but their computers can only see about a month out. Having zero now doesn't mean there never will be any.

2010's started appearing in the Chicago area, too. Mostly SR5's with the occasional Limited.

Maybe u are right...

.. Thesales region manager sounded very secure of what he was saying and kinda put me down with his answer but
I think we may get them in late 2010 or 2011.

So... buy a one-way ticket and fly somewhere to buy it and drive it back. I do all my car dealing via the internet as local dealers won't provide a good deal. Screw your local dealer and take your business to a place that appreciates its clientele.

IMO, of course

I really doubt that he is right. The main reason I am saying that is if you can go to the website put in your zip code and build it, than you should be able to buy it at your local dealership. I am located it Southern IN and I can build one so I imagine you can too. One of the other things that makes me doubt him, is just the amount of sport models I see around here, compared to the other models.

I was told that there will be no TE available to Midwest Distributors by Elmhurst Toyota near Chicago, IL.

I went for an oil change and asked if they had a TE available. One of their reps told me that the distributors for the Midwest region are only going to get Sr5's and Limiteds - No TE.

The Toyota website will allow you to configure a TE after entering a Chicago zip code but after searching dealer inventories I have only seen SR5's and Limiteds.

Strange since we live in the snow belt.

That's what I did, I live in southern IN and our dealer couldn't help. I took a one way to SC....and drove it back, great way to start knowing the truck. I'm glad I did it.
