Anyone have any luck purchasing extended warranties? I have a buddy that just purchased a 2021 Taco and is looking for one? Anyone know who to contact for that? Seems like this may be a dead thread.

I just purchased my first 4Runner on March 13, 2023, but have yet to finalize the deal and pick it up.

It's a 2016 Trail Premium w/KDSS @ 73,887 miles. The dealer offered me a 5-year/60,000-mile Platinum extended warranty for $1,300 + tax.

Is there someone else I should be talking to? Much obliged.

Unfortunately my contact would not be able to help you since your out of your factory warranty. I would look closely at that warranty they are offering.

I bought an extended warranty from two of @gamester5 contacts. Both were well under the local dealer price for the zero deductible platinum.

One for my old 2013 4Runner and the other for a 2018 Sienna.
I was concerned about all the electronics/computer systems.

The 4 Runner warranty expired unused. Have not used the Sienna warranty.

I would probably do it again on a future purchase due to the complex systems in cars.
